Groups of 10+ require more advance planning than individual travel. Ticket distribution, accommodation coordination, and group transport all need to be locked in months before the tournament. Start now — Atlanta hotel inventory for match weeks is selling fast.

Group Ticket Strategy

Supporters Club Allocations
National team supporters clubs often receive dedicated ticket allocations before general sale. Contact your national team's official supporters association immediately — many require membership and early registration. This is the most reliable route for groups from overseas.
FIFA Travel Packages
FIFA's official travel partner (match hospitality packages) bundles tickets with accommodation and transport. Expensive, but the easiest way to guarantee seating together for large groups. Check FIFA.com for official hospitality partners.
Individual Purchase + Coordination
Have each group member purchase their own tickets during the same FIFA sales phase to maximize the chance of getting adjacent seats. Coordinate on a group chat to buy simultaneously when tickets go on sale. Request adjacent seats when buying.
Resale for Late Groups
Groups assembling late can use StubHub or the FIFA official resale platform. Adjacent seats are harder to find — buy as blocks where possible. Check StubHub's "Together" feature which groups adjacent seats.

Group Accommodation

For groups, the choice is between a hotel room block or a large VRBO. Both have advantages depending on group size.

Group Transport

Getting Your Group to Mercedes-Benz Stadium

MARTA (Best Option for Groups)
The MARTA Blue/Green Line to GWCC/CNN Center Station is the best group transport option. Each train car holds 150+ passengers. Get Breeze Cards for everyone in advance ($2 each, load at any vending machine, or use Apple Pay/Google Pay). Designate a meeting point at the station. Allow extra boarding time for large groups — don't let the group get split across trains.
Charter Van / Bus
For groups of 10+, chartering a van or minibus from your hotel directly to Mercedes-Benz Stadium is worth considering. Atlanta has several charter companies — book well in advance for match days. The advantage: everyone arrives together, no train coordination needed. Cost: $150–300 for a van round trip.
Multiple Rideshares
Split the group across multiple Ubers/Lyfts (UberXL fits 6). Coordinate pickup location and time carefully — match day surge can mean 15–20 minute waits. Designate a group leader to manage the pickups. Use Uber for Business for seamless group billing.
Mercedes-Benz Stadium Parking
If driving in multiple vehicles, all cars need pre-purchased parking passes via SpotHero or ParkWhiz ($40-100/match). Designate a meeting point on the East Plaza before entering security (since you'll separate at parking). Tailgating is NOT permitted in official lots — gather pre-match at Castleberry Hill bars instead.

Gathering Before Kickoff

Atlanta's geography makes pre-match meetups easy to organize. The best spots depend on your group's location and match time.

01Centennial Olympic Park (FIFA Fan Festival): The official Fan Festival anchors here. Open plaza, giant LED screens, food and drink — and Mercedes-Benz Stadium is a 5-min walk south. The natural pre-match HQ for any group.
02Castleberry Hill: The historic district directly south of Mercedes-Benz Stadium has the densest pre-match bar scene — FX McRory's (Atlanta United supporters bar) and the Wood Shop. Reserve a section for groups of 10+. Walking distance to gates.
03Ponce City Market / BeltLine: For groups staying in Inman Park or Old Fourth Ward, Ponce City Market's food hall handles 25+ vendors and easily accommodates groups. Bike or walk the BeltLine to Krog Street Market for a second stop, then Uber to the stadium.
04Buford Highway for international supporters: For Mexico, Korea, Vietnam, Pakistan, or any international team supporters, Buford Highway is Atlanta's most diverse restaurant strip. Al Madina (Pakistani halal), Plaza Fiesta (Mexican), Pho Dai Loi 2 (Vietnamese) all welcome large groups.
05Designate a backup meeting point: With 71,000+ fans at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, groups easily split up post-match. Designate a specific meeting point (a landmark entrance, specific section, or the FIFA Fan Festival fountain) before you enter — don't rely on cell signal inside the stadium.
