🏨 Where to Stay

Santa Clara is where the stadium actually is — and the Muslim Community Association (MCA) mosque. Hotels here are cheaper than SF and 5-30 min from Levi's Stadium via VTA Light Rail. Less iconic than SF but vastly more practical for matchday-focused fans. SJC airport is 4 mi away. Plaza de César Chávez Fan Festival is in downtown San Jose.

Mountain View, Sunnyvale, and Palo Alto are tech-corridor cities that put you between SF and the stadium. Caltrain runs through all three (60-min trip to SF, 20-min to Levi's via VTA from Mountain View). Less iconic than SF but more interesting than Santa Clara — Stanford University, downtown Palo Alto's University Avenue, Mountain View's Castro Street with strong Vietnamese / Korean food scene. Good for visitors who want to see both SF and matches without committing to either.

Hotels around SFO are practical for international arrivals — BART direct from SFO Station to Millbrae and onward. Easy onward connections via Caltrain (Millbrae Station) to Mountain View / VTA / Levi's Stadium. Burlingame has the best food scene of these airport-area cities. Less neighborhood character than SF or San Jose, but cheap and transit-rich.

Oakland is the East Bay — proudly distinct from SF, with a strong Black cultural identity, the best Latin American food in the Bay (Fruitvale), and craft beer hub status. BART directly to SF in 15 min, and to Fremont (transfer to ACE for stadium) in 75-90 min total. Cheaper than SF, more diverse food, less touristy. Good for visitors who want to skip the SF tourist scene.
