Levi's Stadium Clear Bag Policy
Critical: All tickets are digital only — loaded in the FIFA app. No app = no entry. The bag policy is strictly enforced. Arriving late for the Round of 32 (Jul 1) means long security lines. From SF, allow 3+ hours pre-kickoff for the 90-min Caltrain + VTA commute plus security buffer.

For the Round of 32 (Jul 1) or any high-demand group match: allow 3+ hours from SF (90-min Caltrain + VTA + security buffer). From Santa Clara hotels: 30-60 min via VTA. Security lines are long when 70,909 fans arrive at once.

Levi's Stadium is open-air with no canopy — Santa Clara afternoons run 80-90°F under direct sun. SF runs cool (60s°F + fog) so layers are essential for the trip in. A windbreaker handles SF; a hat and sunscreen handle Levi's.

You'll be in the sun walking to the stadium. Apply before you leave — reapply in the sun before entering.

What NOT to Bring
Backpacks or non-transparent bags
Any bag that isn't fully transparent will be confiscated at the entrance. No exceptions.
Outside food or drinks
No outside food or beverages (except sealed, empty water bottles for filling). Confiscated at the gate.
Laser pointers, noisemakers, or weapons
Standard stadium prohibited items. Check the full prohibited items list on FIFA's website.
Large flags with poles or sticks
Small handheld flags are allowed. Large flags with poles or rigid supports are prohibited for safety reasons.

Have both the FIFA app QR code and your photo ID ready before reaching the security lane. Speed up the line.

Free water stations are available inside the stadium. Levi's Stadium is open-air and Santa Clara summer afternoons hit 80-85°F with full sun — hydrate aggressively, especially for noon kickoffs.
