Rodeo Drive is the most concentrated luxury shopping district in the western United States. Three blocks of global flagship stores β Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel, Cartier, Tiffany, Burberry, Versace, Prada. Even if you're not buying, walking Rodeo Drive at dusk under the palm trees is a non-negotiable LA experience. The historic Two Rodeo Drive cobblestone walkway is an Insta-icon. Combine with Beverly Hills Hotel (the famous pink palace).

Melrose Avenue is LA's iconic indie/vintage shopping street β a 2-mile stretch of streetwear, vintage clothing, sneaker boutiques, tattoo shops, and skate shops. Supreme, StΓΌssy, Round Two (vintage), and many one-off LA-only brands. The "Pink Wall" at Paul Smith on Melrose is one of LA's most photographed walls. Best for visitors looking for something with LA character vs. mall homogenization.
Notable: Supreme LA, StΓΌssy, Pleasures, Round Two Hollywood (vintage streetwear), Fairfax sneaker shops just south, Paul Smith Pink Wall photo op.

The Grove & Original Farmers Market

The Grove is LA's premier outdoor shopping center β a beautifully designed open-air mall with a trolley, fountain, and palm-lined promenade. Connected to the historic Original Farmers Market (1934) where 100+ food stalls and produce vendors gather. Both walkable. Apple, Nordstrom, Sephora, Adidas plus dozens of mid-range brands. Best to combine: shop The Grove, eat at Original Farmers Market.

Citadel Outlets

Citadel Outlets is the closest outlet mall to Downtown LA β 130+ designer and brand-name stores at 25β65% off retail. Coach, Kate Spade, Michael Kors, Polo Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Levi's, Nike, Adidas. The architecture (faux Babylonian palace) is unique. Convenient if you have one shopping day and want maximum brand variety.

Third Street Promenade & Santa Monica Place
3rd St between Wilshire and Broadway, Santa Monica
Third Street Promenade is a pedestrian-only outdoor shopping street in Santa Monica β three blocks of national chains, street performers, and casual dining. Anchors at Santa Monica Place mall on the south end. Walking distance to the Pier and beach. Good if you're already in Santa Monica; not worth a special trip from Downtown.
Notable: Santa Monica Place mall (Bloomingdale's, Nordstrom), Apple Store, plus dozens of chain retailers.
Historic Mexican Market
Olvera Street
Olvera St, Los Angeles, CA 90012 Β· DTLA
Olvera Street is "the birthplace of Los Angeles" β a 1781 historic Mexican market street in DTLA. Today it's a row of vendors selling Mexican folk art, sombreros, leather goods, and traditional foods. Walkable from Union Station. A short cultural detour while in DTLA β the best place in LA for Mexican souvenirs.

Rose Bowl Flea Market (2nd Sunday)

The Rose Bowl Flea Market happens on the second Sunday of every month β 2,500 vendors selling vintage clothing, antiques, mid-century furniture, art, and oddities. One of the largest flea markets in America. If your visit overlaps with a market Sunday, it's a phenomenal LA experience. Arrive at 9am for the best selection (early bird $20, regular $12).
