The Shops at Hudson Yards is NYC's newest mall β a vertical 7-floor tower with Neiman Marcus, Coach, Madewell, Cartier, and the Edge observation deck (1,131 ft, the highest outdoor deck in the Western Hemisphere) on top. Connected to the High Line. The Vessel sculpture in the plaza is closed but worth seeing from outside. Subway 7 train extension serves it directly.

Macy's Herald Square is the world's largest department store β 11 floors covering an entire NYC city block. The famous Thanksgiving Day Parade balloons launch from here. International visitors get a 10%-off discount card at the Visitor Center on the 3rd floor.
