Group Travel Essentials

Groups of 10+ require more advance planning than individual travel. Ticket distribution, accommodation coordination, and group transport all need to be locked in months before the tournament. Start now — Philadelphia hotel inventory for match weeks is selling fast.

Group Ticket Strategy

Supporters Club Allocations
National team supporters clubs often receive dedicated ticket allocations before general sale. Contact your national team's official supporters association immediately — many require membership and early registration. This is the most reliable route for groups from overseas.
FIFA Travel Packages
FIFA's official travel partner (match hospitality packages) bundles tickets with accommodation and transport. Expensive, but the easiest way to guarantee seating together for large groups. Check FIFA.com for official hospitality partners.
Individual Purchase + Coordination
Have each group member purchase their own tickets during the same FIFA sales phase to maximize the chance of getting adjacent seats. Coordinate on a group chat to buy simultaneously when tickets go on sale. Request adjacent seats when buying.
Resale for Late Groups
Groups assembling late can use StubHub or the FIFA official resale platform. Adjacent seats are harder to find — buy as blocks where possible. Check StubHub's "Together" feature which groups adjacent seats.

Group Accommodation

For groups, the choice is between a hotel room block or a large VRBO. Both have advantages depending on group size.

Group Transport

Getting Your Group to Lincoln Financial Field

SEPTA Broad Street Line (Best for Groups)
The Broad Street Line subway runs directly from Center City (City Hall, Walnut-Locust, Lombard-South) to AT&T Station at the South Philly stadium complex — about 12 minutes, $2.50 each way. Massive capacity on event days. Designate a Center City meeting point and a single boarding station; large groups can easily split across trains. Tap on with a SEPTA Key card or contactless payment.
Charter Van / Bus
For groups of 10+, chartering a van or minibus from your hotel directly to Lincoln Financial Field is worth considering. Philadelphia has several charter companies — book well in advance for match days. The advantage: everyone arrives together, no train coordination needed. Cost: $150–300 for a van round trip.
Multiple Rideshares
Split the group across multiple Ubers/Lyfts (UberXL fits 6). Coordinate pickup location and time carefully — match day surge can mean 15–20 minute waits. Designate a group leader to manage the pickups. Use Uber for Business for seamless group billing.
Lincoln Financial Field Parking
If driving in multiple vehicles, all cars need pre-purchased parking passes via SpotHero or the official Lincoln Financial Field site ($60–150/match depending on lot). The South Philly stadium complex has multiple lots shared with Citizens Bank Park and Wells Fargo Center. Pre-Match Meetups

Gathering Before Kickoff

Philadelphia's geography makes pre-match meetups easy to organize. The best spots depend on your group's location and match time.

01LOVE Park / Dilworth Park (FIFA Fan Festival): The official Philadelphia FIFA Fan Festival is anchored at Center City's civic plazas — giant LED screens, food vendors, FIFA programming. From here it's a 5-minute walk to City Hall Station for the Broad Street Line direct to the stadium. The natural pre-match HQ for any group based in Center City.
02South Philly cheesesteak run: For groups attending an evening match, build a cheesesteak crawl into the pre-game — Pat's King of Steaks and Geno's Steaks face off at 9th & Passyunk, Jim's on South Street, John's Roast Pork further south. Reserve nothing; it's walk-up counter service. Then walk south on Broad to the stadium complex (~25 min).
03Reading Terminal Market: Indoor public market in Center City — DiNic's roast pork, Beiler's donuts, Down Home Diner, dozens of stalls. Lunch the group between 11 AM and 2 PM (closes by 6 PM), then drop into the Broad Street Line at 11th & Market or City Hall.
04Old City / Fishtown bars: For groups based in Old City, the cluster of bars between 2nd & 3rd Streets handles big groups well. Fishtown (Frankford Ave) is a 10-minute Uber away with a deeper craft-beer scene at Yards, Fette Sau, and Frankford Hall. Both connect to Center City for the subway down to the Linc.
05Stadium-area pre-game: For groups already in South Philly, Xfinity Live! at the stadium complex has bars, screens, and food in one spot — designed for pre/post-game. Tony Luke's and the Citizens Bank Park-area concessions are short walks. Easy regroup point with a single landmark.
06Designate a backup meeting point: With ~69,000 fans at Lincoln Financial Field, groups easily split up post-match. Designate a specific meeting point (a landmark entrance, specific section, or back at Xfinity Live! / AT&T Station) before you enter — don't rely on cell signal inside the stadium.
