Practical Tips

For Muslim Visitors

Use Muslim Pro / Athan apps for accurate prayer times in Philadelphia — June daylight is long, with sunrise around 5:30am and maghrib near 8:35pm at solstice.
For halal certification, look for "Zabiha Halal" — the strictest US designation. Manakeesh, Saad's, Kabobeesh, Bukhara, and The Halal Guys are all confirmed 100% halal across the menu.
Philadelphia Stadium has a multi-faith prayer room — ask Guest Services on arrival for current World Cup procedure. Plan to pray pre/post stadium when possible.
Friday matches: Croatia vs Ghana (Jun 27, 5:00 PM ET) is well after Jumu'ah (1:15-1:30 PM). No conflict for Muslim attendees.
Philadelphia hotels generally provide prayer mats on request — ask at front desk during check-in. Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, Westin, and Four Seasons properties are reliable. The Center City luxury hotels are particularly accommodating to Muslim guests.
Halal-dense neighborhoods worth a special trip: West Philly / Cedar Park (Manakeesh, Saad's, Kabobeesh — the densest cluster), Center City (Halal Guys, Bukhara, Sahara Grill), and the King of Prussia Mall food court (Halal Guys plus other halal options).
