Traveling with a supporters group or organizing a large trip? Here's how to coordinate tickets, hotels, and transport for groups in Seattle.

Supporters Hotel Blocks Group Tickets

Planning Your Group

Group Travel Essentials

Groups of 10+ require more advance planning than individual travel. Ticket distribution, accommodation coordination, and group transport all need to be locked in months before the tournament. Start now โ€” Seattle hotel inventory for match weeks is selling fast.

Group Ticket Strategy

Supporters Club Allocations
National team supporters clubs often receive dedicated ticket allocations before general sale. Contact your national team's official supporters association immediately โ€” many require membership and early registration. This is the most reliable route for groups from overseas.
FIFA Travel Packages
FIFA's official travel partner (match hospitality packages) bundles tickets with accommodation and transport. Expensive, but the easiest way to guarantee seating together for large groups. Check FIFA.com for official hospitality partners.
Individual Purchase + Coordination
Have each group member purchase their own tickets during the same FIFA sales phase to maximize the chance of getting adjacent seats. Coordinate on a group chat to buy simultaneously when tickets go on sale. Request adjacent seats when buying.
Resale for Late Groups
Groups assembling late can use StubHub or the FIFA official resale platform. Adjacent seats are harder to find โ€” buy as blocks where possible. Check StubHub's "Together" feature which groups adjacent seats.

Group Accommodation

For groups, the choice is between a hotel room block or a large VRBO. Both have advantages depending on group size.

2โ€“4 people Standard hotel rooms work well. Request adjoining rooms. Downtown hotels on the Sound Transit corridor are ideal. Hotel
5โ€“8 people VRBO whole apartment or house. Downtown Seattle, Silver Lake, or West Seattle 3โ€“4 bedroom houses give you group space, a kitchen, and save significantly vs. 4 hotel rooms. VRBO Recommended
10โ€“20 people Hotel room block: call the hotel's group sales department directly. Request a group rate for 5+ rooms booked together. JW Marriott Sports Illustrated Stadium, Conrad Seattle, and the Westin Bonaventure all handle large group blocks regularly. Hotel Block
20+ people Work with a Seattle DMC (destination management company) or use FIFA's official hospitality partner. Large groups need a dedicated coordinator. Start planning 12+ months in advance. DMC / Hospitality

Group Transport

Getting Your Group to Lumen Field

Sound Transit (Best Option for Groups)
The Sound Transit to Stadium Station station is the best group transport option. Each train car holds 150+ passengers. Get OMNY cards for everyone in advance ($2 each, reload at any vending machine). Designate a meeting point at the station. Allow extra boarding time for large groups โ€” don't let the group get split across trains.
Charter Van / Bus
For groups of 10+, chartering a van or minibus from your hotel directly to Lumen Field is worth considering. Seattle has several charter companies โ€” book well in advance for match days. The advantage: everyone arrives together, no train coordination needed. Cost: $150โ€“300 for a van round trip.
Multiple Rideshares
Split the group across multiple Ubers/Lyfts (UberXL fits 6). Coordinate pickup location and time carefully โ€” match day surge can mean 15โ€“20 minute waits. Designate a group leader to manage the pickups. Use Uber for Business for seamless group billing.
Lumen Field Parking
If driving in multiple vehicles, all cars need pre-purchased parking passes. Designate a meeting point inside Lumen Field before entering security (since you'll separate at parking). The tailgate lot experience is excellent for large groups who arrive 2+ hours early.

Pre-Match Meetups

Gathering Before Kickoff

Seattle's geography makes pre-match meetups easy to organize. The best spots depend on your group's location and match time.

01Sports Illustrated Stadium (Downtown): The FIFA Fan Festival anchors here. Open plaza, giant screens, food and drink โ€” and Sound Transit (Westlake Station) gets you to Lumen Field via the Sound Transit in under an hour.
02Sports Illustrated Stadium bar district: Yard House, Tom's Watch Bar, Conga Room, and the Ritz-Carlton lobby bar all sit in the same plaza as the Fan Festival. Reserve a section for groups of 10+. Walk to Metro afterwards.
03Lumen Field Tailgate: Groups with parking passes can tailgate at the SoDo district outside Lumen Field. Bring food and drinks (check rules on what's permitted). Gates open 4+ hours before kickoff.
04Sunset Park, Capitol Hill for Mexico/Argentina supporters: For Mexico, Argentina, or other Latin American team supporters, Sunset Park, Capitol Hill and East South End have the authentic Seattle Latino vibe. Mariscos Jaliscos is the iconic pre-match taco stop.
05Designate a backup meeting point: With 65,123+ fans at Lumen Field, groups easily split up post-match. Designate a specific meeting point (a landmark entrance, specific section) before you enter โ€” don't rely on cell signal inside the stadium.
