Several are 100% halal-certified; others are halal-friendly with confirmed halal meat.
Mosques
Idris Mosque (Northgate) is Seattle's oldest, founded 1981. MAPS Redmond is the Eastside's largest, serving the tech-corridor community. Abu Bakr Islamic Center on Beacon Hill is the closest mosque to Lumen Field (~3 mi).

Most Seattle-area mosques run Jumu'ah at 1:00-1:30pm. MAPS Redmond and Idris Mosque both offer multiple staggered sessions in summer. During WC26, expect heavy attendance — arrive 30+ min early. The June 19 USA-Australia match (Friday) coincides with Jumu'ah.
Stadium prayer area
Lumen Field traditionally provides a multi-faith chapel — confirm via Guest Services on match day. FIFA WC 2026 musalla details have not been publicly published yet.

Practical Tips

For Muslim Visitors

Use Muslim Pro / Athan apps for accurate prayer times in Seattle — June daylight is long, with sunrise around 5:11am and maghrib near 9:11pm at solstice. Latitude 47.6°N gives Seattle the longest summer days of any 2026 host city.
For halal certification, look for "Zabiha Halal" — the strictest US designation. Aladdin Gyrocery, Cedars of Lebanon, Yalla Seattle, Manoushe Express, and Tanoor are all confirmed 100% halal across the menu. Verify proteins at order at any halal-friendly mention.
Lumen Field has a multi-faith chapel — ask Guest Services on arrival for current World Cup procedure. Plan to pray pre/post stadium when possible — staffing during matches may be limited.
Friday matches: USA vs Australia (Jun 19) and Egypt vs Iran (Jun 26) are both Fridays. Seattle-area mosques run Jumu'ah ~1:00–1:30pm. With both kickoffs at 12pm and 5pm PT respectively, plan around the prayer window.
Seattle hotels generally provide prayer mats on request — ask at front desk during check-in. Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, Westin, and JW chains are reliable. Many downtown hotels are owned by international chains familiar with Muslim guests.
Halal-dense neighborhoods worth a special trip: Beacon Hill (East African / Vietnamese halal fusion), Tukwila International Blvd ("Little Mogadishu" — densest Somali halal in the Pacific Northwest), Bellevue Crossroads (Persian / Lebanese / Pakistani), and the U District around Aladdin Gyrocery.
