120 km, ~2 hr each way, hugging Howe Sound from sea level up into coastal mountains. National Geographic regularly lists this as one of the world's most scenic drives. The destination — Whistler Village — is the largest ski resort in North America (Whistler Blackcomb), running summer mountain biking, gondolas, and the Peak 2 Peak across two summits.

Iconic, formal, expensive. Book ahead. Pricey but a Victoria rite.

Match-Day Logic
Pick Your Day
Don't day-trip on match day. Squamish gondola or Lynn Canyon are the only options if you must — both can be a 4–5 hour out-and-back. Whistler and Victoria are full-day commitments and you will not enjoy the match if you cut it close.
Sea-to-Sky traffic: The highway has only one lane each way for most of it. Friday evening northbound and Sunday afternoon southbound regularly back up. Leave early on weekends.
BC Ferries reservations: If you're driving to Victoria, reserve your ferry slot online. June ferries fill — especially the popular morning sailings.
